Ya Ali Madad! May the Diamond Jubilee Year of Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazar Imam (a.s.) bring immense peace and baraka to each and every Ismaili around the world. Ameen.

On October 27, 2017, the Canadian Jamat heard that our beloved Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam will graciously grant Mulaqats to Jamats in eastern Canada in November 2017 and to the Jamats in western Canada in 2018. In response to these great news, the Edmonton Jamat started the recitation of 500 verses of Anant Akhado on Saturday, November 4, 2017, 20 minutes before first Dua every day. Through these prayers, the members of Jamat are extending a warm invitation of Khudavind Noor Mowlana to come to Canada to do Jamati work. Al-hamdulillah, Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam arrived in Ottawa, Canada yesterday, November 14, 2017!

On November 13, 2017, we heard that Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam will also be granting a Darbar in Northern Pakistan and Mulaqats to the Central and Southern Jamats in Pakistan. Since we are all part of the global Jamat, we pray for successful completion of the above activities in a way that would please Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam and also fully satisfy the Jamats around the world. We also pray for visits to more countries in the Diamond Jubilee year. Ameen.

In this Enlightenment Post, I have combined three resources which can be used to augment the preparation for the Mulaqats with Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam. The three resources are: (1) A list of esoteric prayers; (2) Noore Karim plus 27 Tasbis; and (3) Angelic salwat. I have created an audio file and PDF version of this post, so that these can be downloaded to any digital device. Generally, I carry a print version of these materials with me to the didar/darbar halls and have found them to be useful.

Bismillahir Raheman-nir Rahim Ya NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam keep us on Right Path which has been given to us by Allah through the Holy Quran, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s.), Noor Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.), the Holy Imams, the Holy Pirs, the Holy Ginans & Qasidas, and your Holy Firmans.   Ya NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam grant the worldwide jamat the inner vision of the truth, peace, prosperity, security, unity, and love and bring us closer to one another. I would like to present a brief explanation which led to the selection of above tasbis. The first four tasbis (Ya Ghafuur, Ya Ghaffar, Ya 'Afuw and Ya Tawwab) are for forgiveness of sins. The next two (Ya Rahmaan, Ya Rahim) are for seeking mercy. These appear in the beginning because the themes for forgiveness and mercy are encountered in numerous places in the Holy Qur'an.

The Ya Salaam, Ya Sabuur, and Ya Ash-Shakur tasbis are for developing positive traits which are extremely important in our personal search for higher spiritual enlightenment. These traits also generate humility, devotion and stamina.

The Ya Wadud tasbi (number 10) is used to call up the Beloved. In the initial stages of path of love, there is a lover, the Beloved and the path, i.e., there is duality. However, when Beloved engulfs and absorbs the lover, then the lover, the Beloved and the Path become a single entity. Our goal is to grow into unity through the immense love of the Beloved. Our Holy Imam has told us that he loves all of us more than we can ever love him, therefore it is important to increase our love for his Noor.

The Ya Ahad tasbi (number 11) shows that Allah is above all else because He is Unique. Thus, this tasbi emphasizes the cardinal principle of Tawhid in Islam.

The Ya Samad tasbi (number 12) reminds us that Allah is Absolute and the Supreme Provider. The whole creation looks to Allah for support. The Ya Ghani tasbi (number 13) is related to Ya Samad tasbi. Allah is the Self Sufficient One. The Ya Mughni tasbi (number 14) is used to ask for material and spiritual sufficiency because Allah is the Bestower of Sufficiency. The Ya Razzaq tasbi (number 15) is for asking for material and spiritual sustenance. The Ya Wahaab tasbi (number 16) generates blessings which are bestowed even without asking for them. The Ya Ali tasbi (number 17) is for invoking the Sublime or the Most High. The Ya Wahaab and the Ya Ali tasbis are part of four tasbis which are recited every morning after the recitation of the morning Dua.

The Ya Rabb tasbi (number 18) is not one of the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah, but is used extensively in dhikrs because it calls upon the Lord which is the Sustainer, Cherisher, and Nourisher of everything.

The path of spiritual progress and development involves: (1) the creation of human beings; (2) the evolution of human beings through the faith, knowledge, ibadat, and good deeds; and (3) re-creation of human beings into perfect beings. These three functions of Allah are represented by the Ya Khaaliq, the Ya Baari and the Ya Musawwir tasbis (Numbers 19, 20, and 21).

The Ya Jaami tasbi (number 22) is invoked because the light of scattered creations is manifested in the process of purification and perfection of each human being.

The Ya 'Alim tasbi (number 23) is invoked to demonstrate yearning for all types of knowledge.

The Ya Jaami tasbi (number 24) is invoked to demonstrate yearning for the Abode of Eternal Peace

The Ya Ali Madad tasbi (number 25) is invoked to seek help of the Light of Eternal Ali.

The Mushkil Khusha tasbi (number 26) is a call to the Remover of Calamities.

The Tuhi Tu tasbi (number 27) is a excellent way to express the negation of the ego.

May Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam's Light (Noor) protect all of us in all the six directions (right, left, front, behind, above and below) and enrich all of us with multiple attributes so that we may reflect them in all our actions. Ameen.

3. Angelic Salwat Nazrana:
   
Let us now start presenting a nazrana of at least 101 salwats or continuous salwat for 3 to 5 minutes to our beloved NOOR Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazar Imam for the fulfillment of our noble wishes. May our beloved Mowla continually keep us on the Right Path. Ameen.
