:: Post No. 16: Enlightenment, lawful consumption and firm faith ::

Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ya Ali Madad! This post has two parts:

1. Knowledge Section;
2. Angelic Salwat Dhikr.

Part 1: Knowledge Section

What is the relationship between enlightenment, lawful consumption and firm faith? Let us study the following ayat:

"God says (in the Holy Quran): "God commands you to pay back the 'amanat' to their owners" (Surah 4, Ayat 58).

In order to create the Light of NOOR Mowlana Murtazā Ali (a.s.) within oneself, it is necessary to first submit dasond because it is an 'amanat' of God. Now let us study the tight connection between enlightenment, lawful consumption and firm faith, and the conseqences of unlawful consumption, as described in verse 129 of Kalāmē Mowlā:

Recited by Shafiq Rawji

Dilkee roshani hay halāl khanēsē,
chēto bhāi karo āhār halāl
uskā iman dil donu(n) andhērā,
jo koee khāvē harām māl

The enlightenment of the heart comes from lawful consumption,
therefore brothers, be heedful and consume what is lawful.
The Imaan (Faith) and heart is blinded
of the one who consumes unlawful property.

ees ghat mindarmē (n) diva dil hay,
jo huva andhērā to imanki khot
huee andhēri nagri koi keesē na sujē,
pānch chor milkar luntē chotā chot .....129

In this body the Divine Lamp is the heart.
If this lamp is extinguished, your Imaan will be at a loss.
When the bodily city is darkened thus, nothing worthwhile can happen
and the five thieves i.e., lust, anger, greed, pride and temptation will
come and meet from all directions and loot away everything worthwhile. .....129

May NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam inspire us to follow the Right Path and be blessed with many Batini Noorani (spiritual and luminous) Didars in this life time. Ameen.

Part 2. Angelic Salwat
