Twenty Teachings of al-Muayyyad fid-Din al-Shirazi

Objectives
Ya Ali Madad. On December 13, 2003 in Dubai, Noor Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini (a.s.) advised us to go back into history and inform ourselves about the practices and beliefs, and the ethics of the Ismaili Tariqah which were given by the Imams of Time. In this spirit, I first read the book titled, 'Life and Lectures of Grand Missionary Al-Muayyad Fid-Din Al-Shirazi' by Prof. Jawad Muscati, Ustad-fil-Uloomil-Arabiya and Khan Bahadur A. M. Moulvi, M.A. Published by Ismailia Association Pakistan, Karachi-3 in 1966. I then read the IIS publication titled 'Memoirs of a Mission: The Ismaili Scholar, Statesman and Poet al-Mu'ayyad fi'l-Din al-Shirazi' by Verena Klemm published in 2003.

Al-Muayyad Fid-Din Al-Shirazi was the Chief Dai (Daa-ee-ud-Duat) in the time of Imam al-Mustansir during the Fatimid period. The Holy Imam recited a qasida from his own pen that praised al-Muayyad's knowledge and unique competence (Klemm, 2003, p.89). The Holy Imam gave the following mandate in his qasida (Klemm, 2003, p.90):

For this 20-nights project, I have presented excerpts from the 20 lectures of the first book. I am astounded by the remarkable consistency of Al-Muayyad's teaching and the firmans of Noor Mowlana Shah Rahim al-Hussaini Hazar Imam. Enjoy and be spiritually enlightened!
