Gems from Pir Hasan Kabirdin's Moti Venti and NOOR Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.)'s Nahjul Balagha (7)

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ya Ali Madad! This post for the seventh day of Baitul Khayal Satado has two gems of knowledge: a verse from Moti Venti and a saying of NOOR Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.).

Part 1: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
Let us begin with the 43th verse Moti Venti in which Pir Hasan Kabirdin uses the analogy of a spiritual bride awaiting and yearning for her spiritual husband. The bride begs for mercy and protection as she advances on the path towards spiritual union.

Eji sâmi bharjoban mâru(n) pâkiyu(n)
bahâr nikartâ lâjaj thâya
agynânni â(n)ch kalmâ(n)hê ghani
sâmi rakhê vansi jâya
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, My youth has attained its peak (glory)
and I feel shy to venture out.
In this age (Kaljug), ignorance results in great pain,
so let not my youth fade away.

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

Part 2: Saying of NOOR Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.)
NOOR Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.) has described four attributes and their effects on a person as follows:

"Any one who has been granted four attributes will not be deprived of their effects: one who prays to God and implores to Him will not be deprived of granting of the prayers; one who repents for his thoughts and deeds will not be refused acceptance of the repentance; one who has atoned for his sins will not be debarred from salvation; and one who thanks the Lord for the blessings and bounties will not be denied for their increase in them.

The truth of these facts is attested by the Holy Quran, As far as prayers are concerned He says: "Pray thee to me and I shall accept thy prayers" (Surah 40, Ayat 60). About repentance He says: "Whoever has done a bad deed or has persuaded himself to sin, and then repents and asks for His Forgiveness, he will find the Lord most Forgiving and Merciful" (Surah 4, Ayat 110). About being thankful He says: "If you are thankful for what you are given then I shall increase My Bounties and Blessings" (Surah 14, Ayat 7). About atonement of sin He says: "The Lord accepts the atonement of those who have committed a vice without realizing its enormity and then atone for it, God accepts such atonements, He is Wise and Omniscient" (Surah 16, Ayat 119)."1

1Saying of Hazrat Ali: No.134, p.288. Nahjul Balagha: Sermons, letters and saying of Hazrat Ali

In this project, the text and meaning of the a verse of Moti Venti was augmented with excerpts from Nahjul Balagha: Sermons, Letters and Sayings of Hazrat Ali (a.s.). Let us hope and pray (Laa hawla wa laa quwwat illaa billa hi'l aliyyul-azim: There is no strength or power except in Allah, the High, the Exalted) for strength and courage to conduct more research on these resources in subsequent projects. Ameen.

May the barakat of attaining these gems inspire you to practice Ibadat (bandagi) regularly at the prescribed time. Ameen.
