Part 1: Recitation of Anant Naa Nav Chhuga

On the 47th day of the project, we will be reciting all the 10 verses of the seventh Chhugo of Anant Naa Nav Chhuga. The hyperlink given below will lead you to all the verses and their literal meaning for today's recitation.

In the eighth verse of the seventh chhugo, the first two lines describe Pir Sadardin as humble submitted soul who truthfully remembered the Imam of his time, Imam Islamshah (a.s.). In the next two lines, Pir Hasan Kabirdin relates to an incidence which took place between him and his father, Pir Sadardin. At a very young age, Pir Hasan Kabirdin developed an intense yearning for the didar of the Mowlana Islamshah (a.s.) and wanted to accompany his father, Pir Sadardin (r.a.), for the zaheri didar of the Holy Imam in Iran. His father told him that it would be difficult for a person of his age to take on such a long journey. Pir Hasan Kabirdin's (r.a.) feelings were hurt and in this granth, this was interpreted as an act of pride on part of Pir Sadardin. Although young in age, Pir Hasan Kabirdin was spiritually more advanced that his father. An 'iron wall' was created and blocked the luminous disclosures which Pir Sadardin used to get in his bandagi for a period of six months and six days. During this period, Pir Hasan Kabirdin started to pray intensely and wrote 500 verses of Anant Akhado and 90 verses of Anant Naa Nav Chhuga. Pir Sadardin also performed intense repentance, dhikr and ibadat during this period. With the Holy Imam's grace, Pir Sadardin's status was restored when both, the father and the son, met Imam Islamshah (a.s.).

Oh Lord It is such a wife whom we have regard for
who truthfully remembers the Lord
For the sake of a minute expression of ego
an 'iron wall' was indeed erected
Hari You are eternal; ........................
