Reflection on the 2005 Holy Ramadan Project

Ya Ali Madad! During his visit to Canada in June 2005, NOOR Mowlana Hazir Imam bestowed an unprecedented Dua upon the global Jamat: 'I hope you will have sunshine in your hearts'. In my humble opinion, this Dua corresponds to a 'golden noorani didar' in one's forehead. The thirty postings for the 2005 Holy Ramadan project revolved around this Dua of our beloved NOOR Mowlana Holy Imam. Each posting was composed of 8 prayers, a gem of knowledge from Pir Pandiyat-i Jawanmardi, or "Advices of Manliness" of Imam NOOR Mowlana Shah Mustansir bi'l-laah II, a beautiful verse of ginan composed by a Holy Pir or a Syed, and a short zikr tasbi. The structure of each posting emphasized the two major activities of our faith: acquisition of knowledge and practice of faith with conviction. Both are required for spiritual upliftment and enlightenment. If a person practices his/her faith with conviction, acquires knowledge though formal or continuing education, and performs Dua, Ibadat and bandagi, then he/she will be blessed with inspired knowledge (ilm-u laduni). This package of activities will create sunshine in the heart through which the murid of the Holy Imam will achieve salvation, enlightenment and eternal existence. In his firman to the Cutch Nagalpur Jamat (Precious Pearls No. 53), NOOR Mowlana Shah Sultan Muhammad Shah Al-Husayni (a.s.) explained about the esoteric principle of our Holy faith: "All other religions are exoteric; if in this world you do good deeds then after death you will go to Heaven. But our religion is such that if you act with a clean heart according to its preachings, pray regularly and be pure, then you can acquire Heaven during your life time."
