Giryah-u zâri, Moti Venti and Salwat Project for Navroz 2008
Golden Jubilee Darbar in Dubai and Golden Noorani Didar in our Foreheads
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 to Friday, March 21, 2008

Spark No. 2 :: Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ya Ali Madad. I have articulated this project for Navroz 2008 to increase yearning for the Holy Didar of our beloved Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam. The ten postings for this project have the following components: (1) a prayer card for the well being and health our most beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam and his family, the upliftment the global Jamat, global Muslim community, and humanity at large, and the salvation of all departed souls; (2) knowledge about Giryah-u zari; (3) 5-verses of Moti Venti presented sequentially; and (4) angelic salwat. On the most auspicious occasion of the upcoming Idd-e-Navroz of this momentous Golden Jubilee year, may the rays of the Light of our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam enrich and empower each and every being in different spheres of existence in innumerable ways. Ameen.

Part 1: Prayer Card for the Well-being and Health of the Whole Noorani Family

Let us first declare our noble intentions and then invoke the angelic salwat for exoteric and esoteric purposes:

Ya Ali, Ya NOOR Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazar Imam, we pray for:

  1. The well being and health of the whole NOORANI family;
  2. Protection from the elements of dross and darkness;
  3. Sunshine in hearts, Light in our foreheads and the blessing of the inner vision of the Truth;
  4. Mushkil Aasan and material, spiritual & intellectual upliftment of the global Jamat, the global Muslim community and humanity at large;
  5. Salvation of all departed souls;
  6. Empowerment of our children with the correct understanding of our holy faith; and
  7. External and internal peace for the whole humanity.

Part 2: Knowledge Component:

The fundamental nature of Giryah-u zâri: "It is necessary for every wise mu'min to know that there is no change in the fundamental and essential matters of the true religion (din-i haqq). They always remains the same. This can be observed in the Qur'an with certainty, for there have been certain matters common among all prophets from the beginning to the end, because of their fundamental and essential nature. Among these fundamental and essential matters is giryah-u zâri. It has continued as a pure and pious habit of the prophets and walis (friends of God). There has been no prophet, wali, arif (gnostic) or ashiq (lover) which has not done giryah-u zâri for the sake of the pleasure of God.

In the Holy Qur'an, beginning with Hazrat Adam, where there is mention of repentance (tawbah), one should not think that it can be accepted merely with dry words without torrential tears, for the spirit of repentance lies in the utter regret and penitance and that is in giryah-u zâri." Part 3: Recitation of Selected Verses from Pir Hasan Kabirdin's Moti Venti for Day 2:

0 Lord, In remote times, You freed millions of souls.
You were Unknown (Alakh) and you revealed yourself.
All creatures like Jakh, Megh, Kinar,
and thirty-three karod souls served you well.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

0 Lord, I have lived in hope through the ages,

Now I have reached my maturity,

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

0 Lord, I have come with my soul (symbolized by water-pot) with the fullest hope, and
with the plea to accept the wishes of my soul and fulfill my desires.
Let not my soul (water-pot) be rejected, (i.e. union denied).
0 Lord, forgive my short comings.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

0 Lord, Put a veil over my wrongs,
And conceal my numerous faults and failures.
I am sinful and weak.
My honour, 0 Lord is due to you.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.
9

0 Lord, I have been full of yearning for countless ages,
0 the Master of the three kingdoms please listen to my prayer.
I have now attained maturity,
and I shall be truly disgraced, if I am not united with you.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

Part 4: Angelic Salwat

"It is mentioned in verse (33:33): "O you the people of the house (of the Prophet)! Verily Allah intends but to keep off from you (every kind of) uncleanness and purify you with a thorough purification." By the people of the house or ahl-i bayt are meant the holy Prophet himself, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatimah, Hazrat Hasan and Hazrat Husayn. (Muslim, IV, 1883; Tirmidhi, V, 663)" [Source: Tawil 144: A Thousand Wisdoms]

Now let us recite angelic salwats to invoke Divine grace, mercy and internal purification.
